One major takeaway I took from the "Sound" reading was: The Gospel of grace is about identity. It made me think of how much what GOD says about us truly stands no matter what our past or present circumstances. It made me think of Paul who literally went from killing Christians, to having an encounter with JESUS, to walking in the fullness of what GOD called him to be. I see us (and whoever we serve) going through similar journey's from being lost, to having an encounter with JESUS that leads on a journey of becoming all HE has spoken over us.
1 Corinthians 15:10 (AMP)
10 But by the [remarkable] grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not without effect. In fact, I worked harder than all of the apostles, though it was not I, but the grace of God [His unmerited favor and blessing which was] with me.
Yes! The role that identity plays in the Gospel of grace most important and least talked about. It's the difference between doctrine that focuses more on the reinforcement of good behavior and doctrine that sets people free from entire lifestyles! Thank you for sharing this Rashida.
