Sound Reflection: The first section of the Self-assessment about the intersection of mental health, faith, science and Christian spirituality reminded me that an awareness of our belief systems are vital in spiritual interventions because they help us approach understanding both our doctrine and others we encounter. By understanding our own biases, we create a non-judgmental space where people feel safe to explore their spiritual, physical and psychological needs and trauma. This is a great reminder that fostering a healing environment for those we serve in necessary.
